Dr. Irene’s journey in plant-based diet started after realizing how animals are being maltreated and slaughtered for human food since 22 years ago. Cultural upbringing and even medical school curriculum had mainstreamed the society about the concept of getting enough protein and energy for human health by consuming meat and dairy. The frustration of getting a balance between health and avoid cruelty to animal lead to the determination to spend her free time, besides working as a surgeon, to do research in order to understand how much plant-based food can offer to human health.
After years of research, Dr. Irene could conclude a very promising result that whole food plant-based lifestyle including a significant portion of raw is the solution to disease free longevity.
Started with mostly cooked plant-based food 22 years ago to become eating mostly raw whole food plant- based food for the past 10 years, not only had she experienced a great improvement on her own health, her enthusiasm in recommending whole food plant-based food to her surgical patients had help a lot of them regaining their own health more than what a traditional medicine or surgery can achieve.
